Ziad Khatib, MD
Biography:
Dr. Ziad Khatib received his medical degree from American University of Beirut; Lebanon. He completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and a fellowship in hematology oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Khatib is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty certification in pediatric hematology oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology; American Society of Clinical Oncology; American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology; and Society for Neuro-Oncology. He participates in conducting research studies involving children with brain tumors and testing new approaches for cancer treatment.
Dr. Khatib currently serves as the Vice President of the Medical Staff at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. In addition, he serves as Director of the division of pediatric hematology/oncology and as Director of the Medical Neuro-Oncology at Nicklaus.
