Michael J. Thomas, MD
Biography:
Dr. Michael J. Thomas is a pediatric gastroenterologist who joined KIDZ Medical in 2023. He primarily serves as an attending physician at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Dr. Thomas’ additional clinical appointments include the West Boca Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda Hospital, Jupiter Medical Center, and the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Thomas received his undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Food Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia and subsequently completed a dietetic internship at Rutgers University with passing of a national examination to earn the credential of Registered Dietitian (RD). Dr. Thomas earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada. He completed his pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital/Westchester Medical Center affiliated with New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Thomas has clinical interests which include inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and the nutritional implications amongst a range of gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Thomas enjoys building trusting and communicative relationships with his patients and their families. Dr. Thomas is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology from the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Thomas resides locally in West Palm Beach with his wife and three daughters.
