Maurice Cruz, MD
Biography:
Dr. Maurice Cruz is a pediatric pulmonologist at KIDZ Medical Services, where he serves as Director of the KIDZ Pediatric and Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center and the Pediatric Asthma Program. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence‑based care for children with respiratory conditions and supporting families through every stage of diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management.
Dr. Cruz earned his medical degree from Juan N. Corpas University Foundation’s medical school in Bogotá, Colombia. He completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in Lebanon, New Hampshire, followed by fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cruz serves as an assistant professor of pediatrics at Florida State University in Fort Pierce, where he contributes to medical education and mentorship for future pediatricians.
Before joining KIDZ Medical Services, Dr. Cruz practiced in Tampa and Louisville, Kentucky, before settling in Palm Beach County more than 20 years ago. His decades of experience in pediatric pulmonology reflect a deep commitment to improving respiratory health and enhancing quality of life for children with asthma, cystic fibrosis, and other pulmonary conditions.
