Ana Paredes, MD
Biography:
Dr. Ana Paredes received her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela Escuela de Medicina in 1983. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital and her fellowship training in pediatric nephrology at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard School of Medicine.
Dr. Paredes is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Her clinical interests include bone diseases such as osteogenesis imperfecta, juvenile osteopenia, and metabolic bone disease associated with renal failure. She is currently a principal investigator for various clinical research trials involving focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, IgA nephropathy, and renal osteodystrophy. She has co-authored numerous scientific publications.
Dr. Paredes is an active member and fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, and Society for Pediatric Research.
She is fluent in English and Spanish.
