Yanet Benitez, APRN
Biography:
Yanet Benitez, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner at KIDZ Medical Services, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence based care to children and families. With a strong background in pediatric hematology/oncology and critical care nursing, she brings a calm, steady presence and a deep commitment to supporting patients through both routine and complex health needs.
Yanet earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Practice from St. Thomas University. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Phoenix and her Associate Degree in Nursing at Management Resource College. Her clinical training included rotations in family medicine and primary care, where she conducted comprehensive assessments, developed individualized care plans, and educated families on disease prevention and wellness.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Yanet spent several years caring for pediatric, medical surgical, oncology, trauma, and ICU patients across multiple units within Jackson Health System. Her experience includes administering chemotherapy, managing critically ill and intubated patients, supporting perioperative care, and providing emotional support to children and their families. She has also served as a charge nurse and specialized chemotherapy nurse.
Yanet is fluent in English and Spanish and is certified in Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Adult Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy. She is committed to creating a welcoming, family centered environment where every patient feels supported, understood, and cared for.
