Biography:
Juan C. Martinez, MD, is a board‑certified pediatric pulmonologist and pediatric sleep medicine specialist at KIDZ Medical Services. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic and completed his pediatric internship and residency at MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He went on to complete fellowship training in pediatric pulmonary medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Martinez is board‑certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Sub‑Board of Pediatric Pulmonology, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Martinez spent more than two decades at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where he served as Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Pediatric Sleep Medicine, as well as Medical Director of the Joe DiMaggio Sleep Disorders Center and the Joe DiMaggio Cystic Fibrosis Center. He is an Affiliate Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University and has been actively involved in research, clinical trials, publications, and national presentations throughout his career. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Sleep Disorders Association. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
