Chavelys Rodriguez Mateo, APRN
Biography:
Chavelys Rodriguez Mateo, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at KIDZ Medical Services, where she specializes in pediatric hematology/oncology. She began her nursing career at Holtz Children’s Hospital, where she spent over three years as a registered nurse on the hematology/oncology unit. She also previously worked for an internal medicine doctor where she treated patients with hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory infections among other conditions.
She holds a master of science degree in nursing from St. Thomas University and is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to her APRN and RN licenses, Chavelys is also certified in basic life support and is certified as a pediatric chemotherapy/biotherapy provider by APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses).
Chavelys is bilingual in English and Spanish.
