Biography:
Dr. Guillermo De Angulo is a pediatric hematologist‑oncologist with extensive experience caring for children with cancer and blood disorders. His approach blends clinical precision with a calm, steady presence that helps families navigate some of the most challenging diagnoses in pediatric medicine.
He earned his medical degree from the Escuela de Ciencias Médicas/Universidad Autónoma de Centro América in San José, Costa Rica. Dr. De Angulo completed his pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital/Texas A&M University College of Medicine, followed by fellowship training in pediatric hematology‑oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. During his fellowship, he received the Young Investigator Travel Award from the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in recognition of his research contributions.
Board‑certified in both pediatrics and pediatric hematology‑oncology, Dr. De Angulo actively participates in clinical research and has presented his work at national and international conferences. His academic interests include improving treatment outcomes and advancing the understanding of childhood cancers.
